This Alert Has Expired

Thank you for attempting to help ensure states' ability to protect their coasts, unfortunately, this alert has expired. The comment period for the proposed changes to the Coastal Zone Management Act (CZMA) ended Aug. 26th.  Nearly three thousand concerned ocean activists responded to this alert, urging the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) not to weaken the CZMA regulations.  We expect NOAA to announce their final decision on potential revisions to the CZMA within the coming months.  In the meantime, if you would like to learn more about ways you can take action on behalf of our oceans, please visit The Ocean Conservancy's Ocean Action Network.
