The short explanation of this alert was:

Off shore drilling will not solve our nation's energy crisis. Drilling off our coasts will not reduce oil and gasoline prices. In the end, it will line the pockets of Big Oil by allowing them to stockpile unused leases and increase our dependency on fossil fuels.

Three of New Jersey's Congressmen - Frank Pallone (D-6), Frank Lo Biondo (R-2) and Chris Smith (R-4) - understand that offshore drilling is not an answer to high gas prices and will only add to the risks of global warming. More than ever, as some of our friends in Congress start to weaken on this issue, we need them to stay strong in opposition to off-shore drilling.

Please take a moment to thank your Congressman. Urge him to continue supporting real global warming solutions and oppose efforts that will keep us dependent on fossil fuels.
