The short explanation of this alert was:
Chinese authorities may be planning to re-arrest several monks detained last week during a protest at the annual Great Prayer Festival in Rebkong, Amdo [Eastern Tibet]. Around two hundred monks were reportedly detained after armed police stormed the crowd of gathered Tibetans. After mass demonstrations broke out, the authorities were forced to release the detainees.
