We're sorry, this alert is no longer available. If you would like to learn more about ways you can take action, please visit Pew Environment Group. The short explanation of this alert was:
Throughout his first few weeks in office, President Obama has demonstrated a firm commitment to tackling global warming. In fact, he's already instructed the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to review California's request to regulate automobile tailpipe emissions of greenhouse gases.
The EPA has now begun that review, which could give states the green light to implement a clean cars standard, the first-ever legal limits on global warming pollution from vehicles. Now the EPA is seeking public comments concerning this decision. This is an opportunity for YOU to make the case for state and federal standards that will ensure that cleaner, more efficient cars come to a showroom near you and that global warming pollution is reduced.
Tell the EPA to protect the air you breathe and your health while also ensuring that you get the efficient cars you deserve.
