Assemblyman Chuck Devore of Irvine, CA has introduced two bills which would extend for thirty more years the private residential use of the El Morro section of Crystal Cove State Park. Residents of the El Morro Trailer Park have lived on State Park land since 1979 and have effectively kept the public from enjoying El Morro Beach and Moro Canyon.  Now that their leases have expired the state is ready to implement a restoration plan to turn this area back into a natural beach and canyon for all to enjoy.  Devore’s bill would halt this restoration and would continue to give a privileged few exclusive use of the public's land.

Please ask members of the California Assembly’s Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee to oppose these bills!
