Energy Bill to be voted on this week
As early as this week, Speaker Nancy Pelosi may bring the Energy Bill to the floor of the House of Representatives for a vote that will shape the future of energy policy in the United States. After much negotiation, Congress is set to move forward in protecting consumers, the economy and the environment.
These important measures will help protect national security by decreasing dependence on imported oil, protect manufacturers, jobs, and the economy and decrease carbon emissions and protect the environment.
You have two ways to make a difference.
1. Write your legislator. Fill out the form to the right and email your Congressperson to support the Energy Bill.
2. Call your legislator. Call the Congressional Switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and ask for your Congressperson. Don't know your legislator, go to www.house.gov.

- I’m calling to urge my Congressperson to vote in favor of the Energy Bill with the Renewable Electricity Standard (RES) and an increase in Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) Standards.
- This bill will strengthen our national energy security, generate thousands of good paying jobs and billions in investment, and significantly cut pollution that causes global warming.
- I care about producing cleaner energy and using less gas and I am looking to my Congressperson to take leadership on this issue.
