Emissions Petition: Undo Global Warming

Global warming is the most pressing environmental issue facing the Earth.

While the world is moving forward against climate change, the U.S. continues to sit out the fight.

A strong first step to change this inaction is the Climate Stewardship and Innovation Act, the first credible legislative proposal to cut heat-trapping emissions.

Sign the Emissions Petition to tell the president and Congress the U.S. should lead -- not follow -- in the fight to undo global warming.

The Climate Stewardship and Innovation Act

Dear [ Decision Maker ],

Global warming is one of the most pressing environmental problems of our time.

The science is settled: Pollution from burning fossil fuels such as coal and oil and cutting down forests traps heat in our atmosphere. The consequences will be devastating.

The lack of U.S. action is out of step with the rest of the world. At the national level, we have seen only indifference, and we need leadership.

Because so much is at stake, I urge you to cosponsor and support this economy-boosting, bipartisan cap-and-trade bill. It will tackle global warming by making real reductions to heat-trapping pollution.

Sincerely,
Jeff Gearhart
