Cleaning up the cars on our state's roads can make a huge difference to our environment, public health, and economy. And the way to do it is simple: Adopt California's car emissions standards, just like 14 other states all across America have already done.

These standards will reduce carbon monoxide and other pollutants between 5%-16%, carcinogenic air toxics by 13%-21%, and global warming pollution by a whopping 30%+. And cleaner air will benefit our state's collective health, too--particularly for kids who suffer from respiratory ailments.

Plus, I'd like to start using less fuel, too. That's a huge benefit of the reduction in carbon dioxide pollution, and is good for my wallet, our state's economy, and our country's national security.
