What's At Stake?

Stop the Rehoboth Beach Ocean Outfall

There are numerous benefits for using reclaimed water. Spray irrigation recharges groundwater, keeps water in the watershed, not the bay or ocean; helps Delaware agriculture, protects and expands open space, is a proven and permissible waste water disposal technology.

Spray irrigation could expand Rehoboth's waste water capacity by recycling waste water into irrigation water. Reclaiming waste water onto farmer's fields, through spray irrigation, also replenishes ground water, preserving precious fresh water for the future.
