The short explanation of this alert was:
 Long-standing laws protecting clean air and public health are in danger of being weakened by a giant transportation bill currently being considered in Congress. Proposed legislation would roll back Clean Air Act protections, limit input from the public and local officials, and put road builders firmly in charge. These proposals could leave Americans breathing polluted air for decades to come while damaging our communities and cherished open spaces.
