We're sorry, this alert is no longer available. If you would like to learn more about ways you can take action, please visit Students for a Free Tibet's Online Action Center.

The short explanation of this alert was:
On April 8th, two Tibetan political prisoners, Lobsang Gyaltsen and Loyak, were sentenced to death for their alleged involvement in the Lhasa protests last year. Without a reprieve, they could be executed at any time. Canadian Trade Minister Stockwell Day is currently on a trade mission to China. He is in a unique position to speak out against these sentences and to help save the lives of Lobsang Gyatsen and Loyak.

Send a letter to Stockwell Day and Prime Minister Stephen Harper calling on the Canadian government to immediately help stop the executions.

Please also take a minute to call your Member of Parliament and Stockwell Day's office: 613-995-1702.
