 /img/an2/custom_images/EDF_Action_Network/car_traffic2.jpg" align=left vspace=5 border=0>A major transportation bill now before Congress could spell disaster for our environment, public health, local communities, parks, and historic resources. Both the House of Representatives and U.S. Senate have passed transportation bills that contain provisions weakening long-standing core environmental laws like the Clean Air Act. But the House's version of the bill does less harm. And there's still hope to limit the damage and win good new programs. A conference committee will merge the two bills. Let your Senators and Representative know that you want the final bill to do as much as possible to protect the health and well-being of our communities and environment.
