Community Defense Volunteer Trainings

THIS MONTH: Join El Pueblo Unido's Rapid Response Team and help Defend Our Community!

El Pueblo Unido is training volunteers to join our Rapid Response Team, a community defense network that observes, verifies, and documents immigration enforcement activity across Atlantic and Cape May counties. This team is often the first line of support when our neighbors are at risk.

When ICE activity is reported, we verify sightings, document what happens, and quickly activate our defense network to protect families. Volunteers learn how to observe safely, record information accurately, and communicate through our rapid response system. This hands on training walks you step by step through how to verify enforcement actions, report incidents clearly, and coordinate with our legal and support teams. We also cover safety, security, and how to stay calm and prepared in high pressure situations.
