2020 WOMEN'S MARCH/PROTEST ON THE SAUK CITY BRIDGE

Start: Saturday, January 18, 202010:00 AM

End: Saturday, January 18, 202012:00 PM

Three years of marching, training, organizing, and building power – it’s all been leading up to this. In 2020, we have a chance to finish what we started three years ago and remove Trump from office.

If you’re ready to join millions of women and allies on the streets, sign up to join our sister action on January 18, 2020.

While thousands march and put their bodies on the line in D.C., we need millions of people to rise up together in cities and towns across the country on January 18th to show that our resistance against Trump is strong in every corner of the country.

Because it may be difficult for many local people to attend the 2020 Wisconsin Women's March which is being held in Milwaukee, ISP will hold a 2020 WOMEN'S MARCH/PROTEST ON THE SAUK CITY BRIDGE. We did this two years ago and it was a great success with close to 200 people attending. We will gather on the Highway 12 Bridge in Sauk City from 10:00 AM - Noon. Please join us for all or part of the time. This is a beautiful venue on the Wisconsin River but there is often a brisk breeze so dress appropriately. There will be no speeches or music, just hundreds maybe thousands of cars passing by as it is Eagle Watching Days in Sauk Prairie that weekend. It is a great way to show people, many who wouldn't attend a protest, that we are standing up for democracy. I think it is also a great visual reinforcement for all the girls and young women who drive by.

This year we’re uniting to defend our democracy and fight back against voter suppression.  With your help, we can make this the largest day of action the country has ever seen, and demand that our leaders hold Trump accountable, protect our planet, and fight for our rights.
Some Suggestions for Signs: women's rights/choice, impeachment and removal, Fair Elections and an end to gerrymandering and voter suppression, action on climate change, thoughtful foreign policy/No War with Iran ....
ISP asks that signs be family friendly (please no profanity) as many children are in the cars that pass by.
