Boise Idaho Day Against Climate Denial

Start: Monday, January 09, 201711:30 AM

End: Monday, January 09, 201712:30 PM

On January 9th, people in all 50 states will send a message to every US Senator: reject Donald Trump's reckless climate denying cabinet nominees.

The Day Against Denial will fight back against some of Trump’s most dangerous cabinet picks:

- Rex Tillerson, CEO of Exxon, for Secretary of State
- Scott Pruitt for EPA Administrator
- Ex-Gov. Rick Perry for Secretary of Energy
- Rep. Ryan Zinke for Department of Interior

The climate is changing, and anyone who denies it shouldn't be in the White House cabinet. It's up to the Senate to stop these nominations -- and up to us to show up in person to tell our Senators to fight Trump's Climate Denial Cabinet.

That starts with Monday, January 9, with each of you, our fellow Idahoans, friends and neighbors, in calling out our Idaho Senators Crapo and Risch to do the right thing and reject the nominations.  We hope to have direct conversation with the Senator’s staff to pass along the message that we, as Idaho constituents and Idaho voters, do not accept the dangerous nominations of the incoming administration of the United States.

Please meet outside the Boise office building (251 E Front Street, Suite 205) of Senator Mike Crapo no later than 11:25 am.  Together we will hand deliver a letter to the Senator's office at 11:30 a.m sharp. Directly following we will walk together, bring a sign if you'd like to carry one on the walking journey (approximately 1 mile), to Senator Jim Risch's Boise office (350 N 9th Street Suite 302) to deliver the same letter.

Here is a mapquest link of the walking route we will travel together.  http://mapq.st/2hS5vhh

Dress appropriately, weather is calling for rain.  This is a peaceful day of action to compel our elected Senators to stand up against Climate Denial and deny these nominees.

In Solidarity, Kris
