If so, run for SFT Canada's Board of Directors and help lead the organization that is at the forefront of the Tibet movement in Canada . You will be making a significant contribution to bringing about an end to human rights abuses in Tibet, and ultimately to the restoration of Tibetan independence.

Being a part of the Board of Directors is a great way for you to have a strong voice in how Tibetan and non-Tibetan youth can play a critical role in the Tibetan movement. The majority of SFT Canada's Board members hold elected positions and we currently have five such positions open on the board. Read the information included below, and if this sounds like something you want to be a part of, RUN FOR THE BOARD!

POSITION DESCRIPTION: 
The Board of Directors is responsible for setting the policies and long-term organizational goals of SFT Canada and raising money for our national operations. Board members must actively participate in fundraising, meetings, discussions, and committee work for the duration of their term of service. Board members are expected to assist and act as advocates for staff, regional contacts, and chapter members. 

REQUIREMENTS: 
* Active participation with SFT within the last three years. 

* A commitment to raise a minimum of $1500 per fiscal year. 

* Ready access to e-mail. 
* A minimum of five hours per week of board work. 
* Active involvement in at least one board committee. 
* Ability to travel to one annual meeting per year and attend 3/4 of all monthly board conference calls. 
* Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
* Significant participation in fundraising initiatives, including at least two fundraising initiatives per year. 
* Understanding of SFT's mission and familiarity with SFT history & structure. 
* All candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

Es-tu convaincu(e) que le Tibet sera libre?

Es tu passionné(e) par l’engagement des jeunes et le leadership?

Veux-tu inspirer et permettre aux individus de travailler pour la justice sociale?

Si oui, présente-toi aux élections du Conseil d’administration d’Étudiants pour un Tibet libre (ÉTL) Canada, et aide à diriger l’organisation qui coordonne les jeunes tibétains et non-tibétains au premier plan du mouvement pour le Tibet au Canada. Tu contribueras significativement à la restauration de l’indépendance tibétaine.

Faire partie du Conseil d’administration d’ÉTL Canada est une manière fantastique pour toi d’avoir une voix solide dans le futur de notre mouvement. La majorité des membres du Conseil détiennent des postes suite à des élections et nous avons présentement cinq positions disponibles sur le conseil. Lis l’information inclue ci-dessous, et si cela t’intéresse, tente ta chance pour le Conseil!!

DESCRIPTION DU POSTE: 

Le Conseil d'administration d'ÉTL Canada est responsable d'assurer la stabilité de l'organisme à travers des initiatives de financement, la direction des politiques nationales et l'établissement d'objectifs organisationnels à long terme. Les membres du conseil doivent participer activement dans les initiatives de financement, les rencontres et discussions du conseil, et le travail de comité pour la durée de leur mandat. Les membres du conseil doivent bien connaître et être dévoués à la mission d'ÉTL, et se doivent d'assister les employés, les contacts de secteur, et les membres de chapitres. 

EXIGENCES: 

* Participation active avec ÉTL au cours des trois dernières années. 
* Un engagement à collecter un minimum de 1500$ par année fiscale. 
* Accès facile au courriel.
* Un minimum de cinq heures d’implication par semaine pour le conseil.
* Implication active dans un au moins un comité du conseil.
* Capacité d'assister à une rencontre annuelle d'une fin de semaine et de participer au ¾ des appels conférences  mensuels du conseil.
* Bonnes capacités de communication écrite et orale 
* Participation significative dans les initiatives de collectes de fonds, incluant au moins deux initiatives de financement par année. 
* Compréhension de la mission d’ÉTL et familiarité avec l’histoire d’ÉTL et de sa structure.
* Tous les candidats doivent avoir minimalement 18 ans.
