Indivisible KC Presents - Kansas Week of April 10th

We've had some setbacks this week, and it's okay if you feel a bit discouraged. Take a deep breath, throw back your shoulders, and join us this week to keep up the pressure on our Members of Congress to represent us, their constituents, not an administration or party.

Here's what we have going on this week:

First off, we've got our very special Spring Training event on Sunday afternoon. We hope to see you for this hands-on workshop for engaging with your elected officials.

As always, Resist Trump Tuesday (and Wednesday for Moran!) with office visits to Senator Roberts and Senator Moran (on Wednesday). We'll be opposing the drastic cuts to education funding proposed in the Trump budget, and telling our Senators to support investments in the future of our children and our nation.  Can't make it to an in-person visit?  No problem!  We'll get you started on a letter to your Senators.

In light of Representative Nunes recusal, we're going to keep pressing our Representatives in the House to get behind an independent investigation into ties between the Trump campaign and Russian officials. Join us for a visit to Congressman Kevin Yoder (KS-3) on Thursday.

As the 2017 session draws down, issues in Topeka are heating up! This week our State Representatives and Senators are on recess, which had us wondering Are they having town halls? Events? Meeting with constituents?! This week we want you to contact your Kansas Representatives and Senators and find out!  If they weren't planning to, maybe they will!

Finally we have our Survey for you to fill out. Do you want to continue every Tuesday at our Senator's offices after the first 100 days? Are there any topics you want us to cover that we haven't? Please take a few moments to help us get to know you a little better and click HERE.

Keep calling and keep sending your letters. You could call it resistance. We call it democracy.
