One Ohio Now is a coalition of 100+ health and human service organizations, labor unions, advocacy groups, and more. We want to see a balanced approach to balancing the state budget – an approach that includes raising revenue, not just cutting programs and services.

We believe that great public services lead to stronger communities, and we need revenue to pay for those services.

Due to a series of policy decisions and economic factors, Ohio’s state budget has been consistently slashed – billions of dollars from education and local government alone- leaving vital programs without the resources necessary to meet the needs of Ohioans. To ensure our needs can be met, legislators must raise revenue. Underfunding great public services has become the new normal in Ohio.

We believe that the wealthiest Ohioans and big corporations should pay their fair share.

Together, One Ohio Now’s coalition members will educate and mobilize the public and the legislature to support policy change so that the public sector can provide ample resources for education, health and human services, and much more to meet the needs of Ohio’s citizens.
