Ask Your Legislators to Raise and Index the Minimum Wage!

New Yorkers need wages they can live on. As our minimum wage lags far behind the cost of living and prices continue rising at the fastest rate we've seen in 40 years, lower-wage workers are being hit the hardest. It’s time New York breaks the cycle of infrequent increases that lead to an insufficient minimum wage in the first place.

Take action to ask your legislators to support S1978A (Ramos) and A2204A (Joyner), legislation that would gradually increase the minimum wage through 2026 and index the minimum wage to inflation in order to keep up with the cost of living each year. The need for action has never been more urgent; workers quite literally can’t afford to wait for a raise.
