Join FACS this spring as we engage in advocacy for the economic and public health of Fairfax County during the FY 2019 budget cycle.
FACS asks that the county:
Adopts a budget that funds the energy efficiency recommendations identified in the draft county operations plan, which will result in financial savings;
Funds the development of a community-wide Climate Action Plan, which will establish goals and metrics for achieving the commitment the Board of Supervisors made when it signed the Cool Counties Climate Stabilization Declaration on July 16, 2017.
Establishes a public-private sustainability coalition that will energize, promote, and showcase best energy saving practices and encourage and incentivize businesses and homeowners to adopt them. Two programs that look promising are
