Our state will be finalizing the budget in the coming weeks, which means our push for the inclusion of Fund Climate priorities holds more sway. With billions of dollars in potential revenue, reduction of toxic pollution, and community-directed grants for climate solutions on the table, we have to ensure our campaign's climate justice calls are met this year.
NY Renews and our member organizations are orchestrating multiple executive and legislative-focused events in districts across the state during the week of March 17th. Join us for one of these events, where we’ll call on Hochul outside her regional offices or at strategic events she might attend, and hold pressers with legislators to discuss the benefits of the critical climate investments we’re fighting for.
Let’s build on the incredible momentum we built during our February Week of Action and hold our elected officials accountable to the promises they made to invest in climate this year! It’s time for Governor Hochul and state legislators to Fund Climate and “release the regs”!
