National Planning Meetings for the People's Climate March!
Do you want to help mobilize your community around the People's Climate March? Do you want to organize people to get to D.C.? Get involved in planning a Sister March? Volunteer? Make art?
During the week of March 13th, there will be hundreds of community meetings dedicated to organizing, planning, and recruiting for the April 29th People's Climate March in Washington D.C.
Get plugged in to the work happening in your city by joining a planning meeting near you.
Topics will vary depending on where you're located and what's being planned in your community. Sample topics include:
- How are people in your community getting to D.C.? What can you do to help.
- Is there a sister march planned in your city? (What, when, where and what's needed)
- What events are being organized in the lead up? (e.g. art builds, film screenings etc.)
- How will organizing around People's Climate March support ongoing work in your community?
If you want to get involved in the People's Climate March and meet with the people near you who are going to D.C. or planning a Sister March, then this is where you should be.
Put in your zip code to find an event near you. If there's not an event near you, consider hosting one! (Here's a toolkit with tips and sample agendas). Click "Host an event for this event campaign" to get started.
Reminder: We hope you can make it to Washington D.C. for the central march to directly confront and challenge the Trump administration's climate denial (especially if you are within a 10 hr drive). If you can’t make it to D.C., there are also sister marches happening across the country, and we encourage you to join one in your city.
