In the face of its latest sustained terror campaign, a
majority of Americans want to abolish ICE. As federal agents flooded the
streets of the Twin Cities to brutalize thousands, Alex Pretti was
executed in the street on film. His death follows dozens of murders in
months and years of violence on the hands of ICE.
Following a historic work stoppage in Minnesota last week, students
and immigrant communities in Minneapolis have called for another
mobilization on January 30. More and more organizations nationwide are
coming out in support. With the looming Senate vote on ICE
funding, only keeping up the popular pressure and expanding the
mobilizations from Minneapolis to the rest of the country can force
Democrats to vote down funding for ICE.
The Democratic
Socialists of America calls on chapters and community members to
continue to mobilize in support of Minneapolis, to shut down business as
usual until ICE terror ends once and for all!
