Join Us: for an event co-hosted between the Debt Collective and the Debt & Finance Working Group with a teach-in panel on cancelling student debt.

Speakers from the Debt Collective will break down the student debt crisis and outline the current campaigns for cancellation. Our guests will make it clear how you can get involved in the Debtors Union, and they will share resources available for debtors as they navigate repayment.

Panelists: Andrew Ross, Debt Collective's co-founder; Thomas Gokey, Debt Collective Legal and Policy Director; Carolina Rodriguez, Education Debt Consumer Assistance Program

About the Debtor Organizing Series: Each entry in the seminar series will focus on a form of debt afflicting people in New York City. Our aim is to educate ourselves and to come together as debtors and organizers. We can collectively refuse our debts and to organize for a more equitable world.

Look out for future sessions on rental debt, utility debt, international debt, medical debt, and more.

We'll see you there!

Solidarity,

Debt & Finance Working Group
