10 Years of DACA: 10 Years of Hope, Inaction, and Broken Promises

Start: Wednesday, June 15, 2022 4:00 PM

End: Wednesday, June 15, 2022 6:00 PM

This June 15th will mark the 10 years since the DACA program was first announced! Over the last ten years, DACA has been plagued with threats of terminations, multiple lawsuits, and technical changes. This has contributed to a significant sense of uncertainty in the DACA community. Despite the numerous challenges, this community continues to make meaningful contributions to our communities and our country's strength.

That is why we are hosting this event to commemorate the 10 years of the DACA program. We invite you to 10 Years of DACA- 10 Years of Hope, Inaction, and Broken Promises on Wednesday, June 15 at 4pm at Helios Education Campus.

We will be screening The Dream is Now documentary to highlight the long time and challenging efforts the movement has faced to fix an outdated immigration system. Following the screening, we will have a panel featuring affected individuals to discuss insights, thoughts, or questions on what it means for the DACA program to turn 10 years in existence.
