On September 8, 2018, at 3:00 pm, the symbolic handing over to the Marshall of the Silesia Voivodship Mr. Wojciech Saługa on the development of a long-term policy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and the use of renewable energy in the Śląskie Region will take place in the Katowice market.

As part of the "100% RES for Silesia" social campaign, we organize a collection of signatures for a petition, because we take the loss of biodiversity and climate change very seriously. From August 20, it is possible to declare support in the online survey, and on September 8 this year between 11.00 - 15.00 on the Katowice market, you can do it in person.

The event is part of the global "Rise for Climate" campaign, where thousands of marches and climate events will take place around the world, the aim of which is to encourage local leaders to get involved in building a world without fossil fuels, 100% renewable, energy available for everyone. The world action is preceded by the World Climate Action Summit (GCAS). It is an exciting, diverse mobilization that supports local campaigns, and at the same time unites to show how powerful we are when we jointly take action - we need everybody's contribution!

The event is organized by the Climate Speakers Network Katowice, the BoMiasto Association and the Ecological Thought Club.
