Join Sister District and Swing Left San Francisco volunteers as we go out to talk to voters in our Swing District CA 10 to GET OUT THE VOTE for JOSH HARDER and win back the US Congress for the Democrats !
Canvassers, please note there will be canvassing throughout the day from 9am to 6pm. Let us know your shift. And, be flexible when you get there, you may be need to travel to another location within CA-10 to be most effective in our GOTV effort. We appreciate that.
In addition, many volunteers will be going to the district and spending the night and canvassing the next day also. We will coordinate a group dinner and are working on getting discount rates for a motel in the area so please consider this option.
Swing Left has arranged to take people on a BUS from 3 Bay Area locations. You need to buy a ticket and register, space is limited. Sign up now to get a ticket.
If you need or can give a ride, please use our carpool form. Note for GOTV weekend: we are using one form for all 4 days of GOTV. Drivers, please state clearly the day and time you are going and returning. Riders, please be clear if you need the ride to or from the canvass or both.
RIDES TO MODESTO
To GET a ride or PROVIDE a RIDE to Modesto, please use our carpool form.
If you are a first-time carpooler, check our instructions on using our carpool form.
IMPORTANT IF YOU USE THE CARPOOL FORM: If you need to change your plans, return to the site and edit or delete your information. Your driver is expecting to give you a ride unless you take yourself out of the car. It’s a good idea to check the carpool form before your canvass in case your driver has added any information. Drivers, if you cancel, please contact your riders via the email they left. Thanks!
If you haven’t heard of it, Swing Left is a national grassroots network that helps people take action in their closest Congressional Swing District. The goal is simple: Swing the House in the 2018 midterm elections and put a check on the Trump agenda.
Studies show that getting voters to “commit” in advance can meaningfully increase turnout, so this summer Swing Left volunteers across the country will be going out into their target Swing Districts to talk to voters, identify supporters and ask them to commit to vote in 2018.
If you have never canvassed before, this is an easy way to get started!
Swing Left will provide materials and online trainings so you have everything you need to know to have a great time and make a meaningful impact.
