11/5 Swing Left San Francisco GOTV in CA-10: Modesto
Start: November 05, 2018• 9:00 AM
End: November 05, 2018• 8:00 PM
Join me and other Swing Left volunteers as we Get Out the Vote in CA-10 and elect Democrat Josh Harder !
PLEASE NOTE: There will be canvassing in 3-hour shifts throughout the day starting at 9am, 12pm, 3pm and 5pm (Yes, there is now an additional 5-8pm shift). We are encouraging people to sign up for a double shift (with a break in between, of course) so we get this job done!
And, be flexible when you get there, you may be need to travel to another location within CA-10 to be most effective in our GOTV effort. We appreciate that.
RIDES TO MODESTO
To GET a ride or PROVIDE a RIDE to Modesto, please use our carpool form.
Note for GOTV weekend: we are using one form for all 4 days of GOTV. Drivers, please state clearly the day and time you are going and returning. Riders, please be clear if you need the ride to or from the canvass or both. In addition, many volunteers will be going to the district and spending the night and canvassing the next day also -- pay attention to this on the carpool form.
If you are a first-time carpooler, check our instructions on using our carpool form.
IMPORTANT IF YOU USE THE CARPOOL FORM: If you need to change your plans, return to the site and edit or delete your information. Your driver is expecting to give you a ride unless you take yourself out of the car. It’s a good idea to check the carpool form before your canvass in case your driver has added any information. Drivers, if you cancel, please contact your riders via the email they left. Thanks!
If you haven’t heard of it, Swing Left is a national grassroots network that helps people take action in their closest Congressional Swing District. The goal is simple: Swing the House in the 2018 midterm elections and put a check on the Trump agenda.
Studies show that getting voters to “commit” in advance can meaningfully increase turnout, so this summer Swing Left volunteers across the country will be going out into their target Swing Districts to talk to voters, identify supporters and ask them to commit to vote in 2018.
