Vermont-NEA is offering an expanded summer conference this year! We are combining our professional development offerings along side our union leadership training. The conference is a three day conference from August 1-3, 2017.

All sessions are open to any Vermont-NEA member. You do not need to hold a leadership role to attend leadership sessions.

Keynote speakers from around the country and Vermont will share organizing victories and lessons learned in the labor movement struggle, especially in these political times. Various union skill-building sessions will include how to be an effective leader, best practices for local Associations, grow membership, run effective meetings, and much more. Professional development topics will include technology tools to use in the classroom, classroom management, professional boundaries, navigating teacher evaluations and much more. New sessions include exploring implementing bargaining and organizing strategies like Chicago and Seattle for rural New England communities to build schools our students and communities deserve as well as open bargaining strategies.
