Join us in North Carolina to canvass for Dan McCready!

Join us and be part of an historic event for North Carolina and the nation. In this very special election we are standing with Dan McCready and the people of NC-09. They will not be robbed of their right to participate in our democracy and have their voices heard. This will not be an easy fight, but if we all pull together we can help Dan win this seat.

We will join Swing Left Charlotte and Swing Left Guilford County North Carolina to help get Dan McCready election in the special election for NC-09. The election will be 9/10/2019 or 11/5/2019, depending on if there is a runoff with the Republican primary.

Canvassers will arrange their own transportation to North Carolina.

Matthews is:

  • Approximately 30 minute drive from the Charlotte airport (CLT)
  • Approximately 2-1/2 hours from the Raleigh-Durham airport (RDU)
  • Approximately 4 hours from the Atlanta airport (ATL)

Jet Blue flies to all three airports. Amtrak Carolinian-Piedmont runs New York-Raleigh-Charlotte daily. Greyhound goes to the NC cities.

Talking to voters face to face is one of the single most important ways you can do to make sure we win.

Good things to share on the discussion board:

  • Who you are and what town you are from
  • What airport you are flying into, or if you are driving from Boston (13 hours) or taking the train
  • How many people you are bringing
  • Whether you can offer a ride or share a rental car
  • Whether you need a ride
  • Contact information (email and cell phone)
