2025 Annual Meeting
Start: Saturday, June 28, 2025•10:00 AM
SAVE THE DATE!
June 28 will be the date for our Annual Meeting. This Annual Meeting is required by law to make any changes to the bylaws, elect the Board of Directors for the coming year and conduct any other business as needed. Come and meet the Board and our new Organizing Director Michael "Lefty" Morrill!
We'll have a short Business Meeting, a potluck luncheon and a community building activity and socializing after lunch.
The afternoon activity will be a workshop: "How to Have Difficult Conversations".
It can be difficult processing the anger, hate and disconnection we are seeing in the news, the grocery store, and even in our own families. Politics have become overwhelming and impossible to escape. Important conversations need to be had, but they can be difficult to manage. We do not want to agree with opinions that differ from ours, but we also do not want to ruin relationships. Kevin will take us through a measured approach to handling these tough conversations in an appropriate way that allows us to be in healthy relationships with the people around us. With information about human behavior and strategies for healthy conflict, we will learn about how to balance respect for ourselves and others.
Kevin Blanchette is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in New Hampshire, specializing in work with people who have trauma and psychosis. He has a Master of Arts, Clinical Mental Health Counseling: Holistic Studies from Lesley University. Kevin uses a narrative therapy approach combined with strategies of CBT, Gestalt Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and EMDR to support people. Kevin has recently been learning more about nonviolence, has trained as a NH Peacekeeper and volunteers for the NHPA Events Committee.
