24-Hour Moral Monday Vigil

Start: Monday, March 28, 201612:00 PM

End: Tuesday, March 29, 201612:00 PM

Days away from New York's April 1 budget deadline, elected officials are in the thick of negotiations that will impact millions of poor and working people across New York State.

Join faith leaders, low-wage workers and advocates keeping vigil from noon Monday through noon Tuesday to call for a $15 minimum wage statewide, strong Paid Family Leave, and full funding for the Hunger Prevention and Nutrition Assistance Program, which millions of low-income New Yorkers rely on.

Our legislators have until April 1 to get the budget right. We will keep raising our voices until they do.

PROGRAM:

Monday Noon: Press Conference/Rally launching the vigil
Monday 5:30 pm: Press Conference on steps of the Capitol
Tuesday Noon: Press Conference/Rally concluding the vigil

Throughout the rest of the 24 hours, we'll hold vigil in shifts.
