This is the monthly family-friendly Tesla protest event. It's time to stop the billionaire class and it's definitely time to show our children what that means.

We will meet with signs and we will chant and we will laugh and we will have fun while we let Chicagoans know that they aren't alone in how they feel in the present moment. The service center is closed on Sundays, so we aren't disrupting anyone's workday or confronting Tesla owners as they drive in. This is chill and family-friendly. But it's real, too. We will be there to be a visible presence in front of a visible store front in our city. One many of us drive past every day, or take the bus past, or walk past and it hurts our hearts.

We'll protest while we make certain that the kids have a good time doing it. I'll bring our bags (corn hole) set and anything else I can think of that kids would have fun doing. Do you have some tricycles? Bring them and the big kids can do tricycle races up and down the sidewalk. Are you a face painter or at least have some face paints? Bring them! We'll look silly together! Do you play kid tunes? Bring your guitar! Or your accordion! Or your ukulele! Are you a magician or a clown or a mime or whatever you are? Bring yourself! Want to bring a box of snacks to contribute to a snack table? Let's do that! Our kids know that something's off in the world and it's our job to teach them the American way. A little dose of anarchy, a little dose of civil unrest, a little dose of our 1st amendment rights, and a huge dose of Chicago-style block party fun.

Elon Musk is destroying our democracy, and he's using the fortune he built at Tesla to do it. We are taking nonviolent action at Tesla to stop Musk's illegal coup.
