A Day of Action & Solidarity with USW Local 1219

Start: Friday, August 21, 201511:00 AM

This summer more than 17,000 Steelworkers across the country are bargaining a new labor agreement with US Steel. Management at US Steel is attempting to use a temporary downturn in the domestic steel market as an excuse to permanently gut workers’ contract language and benefits. Members of the United Steelworkers at US Steel are organizing and mobilizing to stand up for a fair contract and to secure good jobs for the next generation of Steelworkers.

In the final countdown to contract expiration, Steelworkers and community supporters at US Steel facilities across the country will be taking action to show management that we’re strong and united and ready to do whatever it takes to win a fair contract.

Join the members of USW Local 1219 for a cookout and rally at US Steel’s Edgar Thompson Works. Let's show US Steel that Fight Back Pittsburgh stands in strong solidarity with the United Steelworkers!
