We’re back with the third session of our “University Divestment & Boycott Training Series”!
This month’s training will focus on academic boycott campaigns that aim to address our universities’ complicity in Israel’s ongoing genocide and apartheid regime by cutting ties with any institution that is fueling Israel’s violence, including Israeli academic institutions. Academic boycott campaigns can take a range of forms and focuses, including ending research partnerships, study abroad programs, and department-specific programs with complicit Israeli universities.
In this webinar, presenters will:
- Provide an overview of Israeli universities’ complicity in Israel’s genocide against Palestinians.
- Cover the basic process of launching and escalating an academic boycott campaign.
- Discuss major successes and learnings from academic boycott campaigns around the world, from South Africa to Latin America, to Europe and North America.
- Create open space for sharing and discussion of audience questions.
This session is intended for students and faculty interested in launching an academic boycott campaign on their campus for the first time, as well as activists that are already in advanced stages of campaign planning/implementation.
RSVP using the form to the right, and you'll be sent a Zoom link ahead of the event!
