Our eagle-eyed campaigners spotted that Hackney South MP Meg Hillier was the headline speaker at the Advertising Association's conference reception. In a borough that has massive wealth disparities and is already over-saturated with public space advertising, is adding fuel to climate wreaking consumerism really the work us residents want our MP to be prioritising?

That's why we're meeting this week at the Crooked Billet Pub near Clapton Station on Thursday at 6:30pm to discuss how we can put pressure on Meg Hillier MP to speak out against the harms caused by the advertising industry. We'll also discuss other ways we can Adblock in Hackney!
