Last year, neighbors from across D9 joined us to discuss a deceptively simple topic: what does "affordable housing" really mean in San Francisco? We learned a ton, so we’re running this one back!

Join D9N4H for an enlightening and entertaining panel discussion on the basics of San Francisco affordable housing. We’re bringing together an affordable housing developer, architect, contractor, and funder to answer these questions (and more!):

  • What is “affordable housing”?

  • Who does it serve?

  • How do funding streams actually work, and what has changed in the last year?

  • Why does it take so long and cost so much?

  • What lessons have we learned from recent projects?

  • How might federal funding shifts affect future projects?

  • What can we do to get more affordable housing for San Francisco?

If you came last year, expect an updated conversation with a new set of panelists and perspectives. If you missed it last year, this is a great introduction to how the affordable housing system actually works in SF.

We hope to see you there on Thurs, Feb 26, 6:30-7:30pm! Please forward this invite to interested friends and neighbors who want to understand what’s changed and what comes next.
