Join us for the next Afrosocialists & Socialists of Color Caucus (virtual) movie night! Please enter your address when registering as we'll drop off some snacks prior to the event! Also vote on your movie selection. Options for December are:

  • Tigertail: In this multi-generational drama, a Taiwanese factory worker leaves his homeland to seek opportunity in America, where he struggles to find connection while balancing family and newfound responsibilities.
  • Daughters of the Dust: Languid look at the Gullah culture of the sea islands off the coast of South Carolina and Georgia where African folk-ways were maintained well into the 20th Century and was one of the last bastions of these mores in America. Set in 1902.
  • Jingle Jangle: An imaginary world comes to life in a holiday tale of an eccentric toymaker, his adventurous granddaughter, and a magical invention that has the power to change their lives forever.

We'll start with some quick check ins then begin the movie. Please respect that we'd like this event to be a space for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) only.
