● Do you know how to advocate for your own health when you go to the doctor?
● Do you think your medical professional understands your “aches and pains”?
● Do you receive the care you want and feel respected in the process?
● Do you think medical services are “rationed” because of your age?
● Do you think we have an age-friendly healthcare system?

Join us on January 22, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. MT for an informative presentation and discussion about how ageism shows up in health care. We will will share details about the negative impacts of ageism on our health and how to become a proactive advocate for better healthcare experiences for yourselves and your loved ones.

Our discussion will be led by Bill Brubaker, a St. Andrew UMC member, and Kris Geerken, Program Manager with Changing the Narrative. They have done extensive research about this issue and are dedicated to educating the public to help us better advocate for our own health and ensure we receive excellent health care - wherever we are in the age and health spectrum.

The online workshop is hosted by Changing the Narrative, a campaign to change the way people think, talk and act about aging and ageism.
