Project Sanctuary Update:
Great news for trans rights and bodily autonomy!: The trans sanctuary resolution we have been driving is confirmed to be going on the September 24th at 6:30 PM legislative docket and has the support of the majority of council. On 9/24, Alexandria will become a declared trans sanctuary to the full extent of the city's powers!
This effort was initiated and led by the TRBA campaign as our first electoral/legislative campaign, and marks a big win for us! This will also be the first declared sanctuary in Virginia!
Please come celebrate with us on this momentous occasion, we'll meet in Market Square outside City Hall and then head in to attend the session! Come show your support for Trans-Rights to city council as the resolution passes!
