• 3.30pm: Ilan Pappé speaking on Anti-Zionism is not antisemitism
• 5pm: Panel discussing Palestine and the struggle for freedom
For over sixty years the people of Palestine have suffered ethnic
cleansing, military occupation, massacres and sieges. But the resistance of the Palestinians continues to inspire – from the popular revolts of the first intifada to the breaching of the Gaza blockade.
At the end of March this year at least 30,000 Palestinians marched on the Gaza fence. It marked a year since the start of the Great March of Return — a campaign of weekly demonstration demanding the right of return for Palestinian refugees.
But we have seen an attempt to silence criticism of Israel, from the attacks on Corbyn here to Ilhan Omar in the US. This meeting will be discussing why Anti-Zionism is not antisemitism.
