Not sure what to do when a healthcare professional ignores you? Talks over you? Uses elder speak?

Or maybe you work with older adults—and get frustrated when you see ageism surface.

In 2021, Changing the Narrative partnered with the Boulder County Area Agency on Aging to create a short training film about ageism in healthcare and what to do about it.

Our intent? To increase awareness about ageism among healthcare professionals and others who work with older adults, and activate consumers to advocate for ourselves and for system changes.

During this virtual event, we'll show the film and then have a discussion about what we can do as individuals and providers to create more age-friendly and age-inclusive healthcare.

Join us for this fun and informative film screening and conversation to find out more. You’ll leave with concrete tools and resources, and a can-do attitude for your next healthcare visit. For those of you who have expressed interest in showing the film in your organization and community, this will also give you some ideas on how to facilitate a discussion after the film.

Register NOW by filling out the form on this page. We'll send you Zoom log-in information 24 hours before the workshop, and the day of. The event is free, but you must register.
