Every year hundreds of California workers die needlessly from preventable workplace injuries and illnesses. This year Worksafe and the UC Berkeley Labor Occupational Health Program (LOHP) invite you to join us as we honor these workers and recommit ourselves to improving working conditions in California.
This event will highlight the issue of workplace violence -- the second leading cause of death among California workers -- and lift up current efforts to keep all workers safe.
Come hear workers and advocates speak about workplace violence in healthcare, janitorial services, and domestic work. Get updates about the current push for a general industry workplace violence prevention standard.
This is a free event. Lunch will be served and space is limited. Please register to reserve your space.
