Record breaking storms, floods, and heat waves are threatening our agricultural community. Migration from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras to the US increased fivefold in a 5 year period, coinciding with dry periods that left many without enough food. Trump's cruel immigration policies are targeting these communities in Reading and at our local immigrant detention center. We have a right to good jobs and a livable future, but the lack of action from our political officials is dooming us to a future of climate disaster and poverty. #ThisIsAnEmergency and we're going to act like it.
