Biden & Polis: Colorado is Burning - Declare a Climate Emergency!

Start: Tuesday, August 02, 202212:00 PM

In light of the Colorado's most recent Marshall Wildfire disaster and the ongoing climate crisis, we are taking action peacefully with people and groups across the nation on Tuesday, August 2nd to demand that President Biden declare a national climate emergency and use his executive authority to help end the era of fossil fuels.

We are also calling on Gov. Jared Polis to declare a climate emergency, as Coloradans are already suffering the impacts of increasingly devastating wildfires, drought, floods, extreme temperature and impacts to our economy, agriculture, tourism, winter sports and more. Executive action at both the state and federal level is needed.
We will be gathering at the outdoor space of climate allies that lost their home in the Marshall Fire.

Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP here (so we know how much food to order). Bring your own water/drink. Please invite friends and spread the word!

This action is about visibility, so please invite friends and spread the words. We invite you to bring a sign too. Our main messages are "Biden and Polis: Declare a Climate Emergency" and "Biden and Polis: Stop Fossil Fuel Projects".

Let's stand together to create a more just, sustainable world!
