On 4 May 2023, King's Lynn and West Norfolk will elect its local councillors. The council elections provide a great opportunity to secure commitments for ambitious climate action from current and potential councillors.
At this online event jointly hosted by Fenland & West Norfolk Friends of the Earth, the Nature Volunteer Network and KLimate Concern, you’ll get a chance to hear from some of the candidates on how they’re going to promote local solutions to the climate and ecological crisis if elected in May. We’ll be joined by:
Rob Archer (Green Party)
Joshua Osborne (Labour Party)
Rob Colwell (Liberal Democrat Party)
Sandra Squire (Independent candidate)
An invitation has also gone out to the Conservatives.
Each candidate will be given a chance to give a short speech on their approach to climate and ecological issues before answering questions from local voters either sent to us in advance or submitted on the night.
The hustings will take place on Zoom and will be recorded and posted on social media after the event. Audience members have the option of turning off their camera so that they are not visible. They can also turn off their microphone and post any questions in the chat box on Zoom.
Do join us! Under 16's must be accompanied by a responsible adult on the call.
