This session is for local parties with borough Mayor elections in 2026 only, and is open to both activists and potential borough Mayor candidates. We'll come out of the session with an idea of what a good campaign could look like and how it can benefit your council election campaigns.

We'll be covering strategy for:

- finding, selecting and working with a good candidate, including defining what their role is in the campaign

- running a long campaign through to March 2026 and planning for a short campaign

- starting to develop your campaign messaging and media work

Alongside this we'll look at some key lessons learned from Mayor campaigns elsewhere and workshop approaches that might work for your borough.
