Please stop in to Steel Plate at 3523 12th Street NE in the heart of Brookland around 6:00 on Monday, Feb. 26th. Your friends and neighbors are working to take back the House of Representatives, targeting swing districts — with the Swing Left strategy.
We are starting with a push to support Conor Lamb, candidate for the Pennsylvania 18th Congressional District in a special election less than a month away, on March 13. Special elections have been turning toward the Ds this year, and according to Politico, Conor Lamb is on the verge of becoming “the next big Democratic upset” in a historically Republican district. In a neck-and-neck race against a pro-gun, anti-choice Republican state representative, Lamb needs all the support Democrats in places like DC can provide — and he’s pledged not to take corporate PAC support.
Come join us after work, support a great local business with your food and drink purchases, and share some of your time and energy to support Conor Lamb and other Democrats to take back the House this year! We don't have voting rights in Congress (yet), but we can mobilize.
