This training session is intended for comrades who would like to support other tenants in organizing tenant associations and tenant unions. Specifically, this training will prepare us to train tenants in becoming Building Captains (lead organizers of their tenant associations). We will discuss the importance of the Building Captain's role in building tenant power as well as review an in-depth Building Captain training curriculum, so that every attendee can feel confident in leading these trainings themselves! This training is for anyone who would like to build Tenants Association in their own buildings, as well as those who are interested in sharing those skills with other tenants in their buildings, blocks or neighborhoods. Recommended training for budding tenant leaders and inquisitive tenants alike! No prior tenant organizing experience required.
