Looking for a family-friendly place to do something about climate change? Join Climate Action Families' October meeting and to co- create a hilarious skit inspired by Star Wars!
The skit, developed by CAF youth leads, Percy and Emory, deploy lightsabers for the battle between the good people of Washington State and Darth-2117. Join us as we fight to defend the resources established in the Climate Commitment Act, like electric school buses, clean air in their schools, jobs for the parents, and much more.
The skit demonstrates the billions of dollars that 2117 would steal from the projects already underway that improve everyone’s lives - from better transportation options, to clean air, to clear water - and all of the jobs Washingtonians will lose if I-2117 passes.
Bring your costumes for battle! All Halloween characters are invited. DOors open at 5:45 pm.
We serve a simple dinner. You can bring additional food, but don't worry if you can't—we know that families are busy.
Monthly meetings are for adults and youth of all ages. We play games, make art, and share in short presentations by young activists. Meetings are held in Seattle locations that are easy to reach using public transportation.
